clodia_risa | Conversations with Coworkers

Coworker C, who is slightly too talkative for my taste, thinks she has similar taste in TV/books/etc. Meaning, I actually watch scifi and fantasy shows, and no one else that she knows does. No one. She's also a Twi-Mom. In any case, I decide to encourage her with good authors, and suggest Robin McKinley. I name a couple of my favorites just in case. Last time we worked together, I had this conversation:

C: Hey! I just ordered a book by Robin McKinley!
Me: Really, which one?
C: Dragonhaven.
Me: Ah. I heard that was not one of her best. I haven't even read it yet.
C: Oh, well, Stephanie Meyer said she just finished reading it, so I got it.

*facepalm*
