Aug. 16th, 2009 12:23 amA certain movie called District 9 came out recently. I've seen reviews saying it's racist. I've seen reviews pointing out its many plot holes. I'm here for a different reason.
PSA: District 9 is disturbing. There are bodies explode every five minutes in the movie, with big actions scenes going up to 1 body exploding per 5 seconds. I literally was nauseated at the end of the film. I had to sit down, have a nice glass of juice, and sit still for an hour before I even could think about food. I ate about an hour after that.
It's a very intense movie emotionally and very graphically violent. Gross out violent at times. The emotional stuff was hard at times (the only human who was less than despicable during the movie was the protagonist and that for only the last ten minutes of the movie) but something about the violence really got to me.
Again. I was literally truly nauseated and had to alter my eating habits because of this movie. This has never happened before.
