Today I skipped class because I was tired and I had a paper due tomorrow and I just couldn't stomach the idea of driving thirty minute to get to a class where I wasn't going to learn anything. Although I would have gotten to discuss racism and the South and stuff. I also haven't responded to one of my prof's coworkers emails to me and it is overdue but I am tired. Also, I still haven't quite finished that paper. All that's left is the conclusion. And it's only three pages over the recommended page limit. So far. I'm a little tired of this paper.
Also - I need a word for when you respond to someone's LJ post and realize after you've pressed send that you thought that they were LJ user X and not Y. It's not that my comments would have been vastly different, but simply that I'm embarassed that I can't tell color or icons apart and I might've edited for tone.
And go read
copperbadge's Valet of Anize! He's on the sixth chapter so far, and it's about a person who is a Valet (note the capital). A Valet is much like a valet, but they are specially trained in the art of ninja butlery, and also hide their gender. And it is very very rude to ask about their gender until they retire. It's on a future human world with limited advanced technology due to happenstances in the past. I heartily recommend anything that
copperbadge has written, and I am thoroughly enjoying this book-in-process. Not only do I love his writing, but it is making me examine certain assumptions about social interaction and gender that (amazingly) I hadn't quite pinned down yet. Fun times!
Wooo! Writing this conclusion then going to bed.
And,
octopedingenue? Read Full Metal Alchemist. Find some of that copious spare time you're always complaining about having nothing to fill with and read it. You may assign me something in return, if you like.
