No More Bats, probably
Aug. 19th, 2009 01:58 pmSo last night Matt and I decided to just leave the bat alone until today. I wanted to go ahead and try to chase it out, but Matt vetoed it, and I was tired and needed to go to bed and didn't argue. Sometime after I fell asleep, Matt opened the door, turned on the light, and closed the door. I was annoyed, but went back to sleep. He later told me that it was to put our Belle-kitty in the room with me. Because the bat had gotten out of the closed-off basement and magically flown into Matt's office, with our kitty trailing it. Belle went with me, the other upstairs doors were shut, and my unscreened office window was opened. While Matt guarded the stairs, the bat flew around the upstairs until he found Freedom! and flew away back to his happy bat home. Now that I don't have a surprise!bat practically in my hair, the whole thing is kinda cool. Matt and I have dubbed him a superhero bat for his abilities to get into previously thought secure areas.
lizzie9208 says that bats can crawl in spaces 1/4 inch around! Bats are so cool. Belle thinks so too.
