clodia_risa: (Go Boom)
As of 11:40 this morning, I have officially bought my tickets to the Twin Cities to see [livejournal.com profile] flutingfrenzy over Halloween! I actually have a day off today where I don't have to do anything, so I'm going to go shopping for my costume.

I still have no idea what I'm going to do about that vest. I might talk myself into making it.

I have everything I need for my Diego costume except the vest and the armbands. I might need to get a new shirt due to it being more wine than red, but I'll make that call later.

I got Logicomix! Recommended to me by [livejournal.com profile] octopedingenue at [livejournal.com profile] gweniveeve's wedding, I managed to read about twenty five pages of it before I was forced to give it back to its rightful owner. It is a graphic history of the foundations of modern mathematics. I was entranced, and am delighted to be able to read the rest of it.

I am reading the Safehold series. It's the story of the future of the human race wherein all but one colony is destroyed. That colony was twisted by its founders to believe that its founders were archangels sent by God to protect the world. Merlin Athrawes (formerly Nimue Alban) has to educate humanity as to its true purpose, defeat the corrupt church, and save the world from the enemies that await it in space. It's so awesome.

I was recently introduced to the artist Emilie Autumn. Intelligent feminist lyrics set to gorgeous hard core music. Love her.

And Castle comes on in fifteen minutes! Woo!
