This week I lived in Walters. No...there was no time warp. I just stayed at ASC for Spring Break to work in Admission (which was really fun!). But I was kicked out of Main *sniff* and had to stay at my old first-year dorm Walters.

1. Elevators with doors that open by themselves are the greatest creation of mankind.
2. First years are disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. (Note - this is as a general rule, and any first-years reading this should not be offended by it. I'm fairly certain I was disgusting then too. It's just how it is.) I mean - the freezer/refrigerator looked like it hadn't been cleaned all year, and there was stuff spilled and frozen in the freezer, and it was just awful! Also, I went down the the Walters computer lab as my computer stayed in my room, and every single one of the mice was filthy. Had dust all over the rollers and it was thick! It had to have been collecting for months for that to happen! I mean, sometimes I will use the library or Main (or Rebekah) computer lab, and they're always meticulous. So it has to be that upperclasswomen actually try to clean up the mice, whereas first years just don't care. (If you have no clue what I'm talking about - I'll give you a step-by-step lesson, because its turning into one of my pet peeves - I even bought a optical mouse so I wouldn't have to worry about it anymore!)
3. First years bring a lot more food than upperclasswomen. The fridge was stuffed, whereas the fridge on 3rd Main hardly looks like it has been used.
4. I don't miss air-conditioning. Didn't use it the entire time I was there. The windows were open the entire week. (Except for when I started to freeze to death at night, and I closed them.)
5. It seemed to me that my single was much bigger than a double in Walters. Maybe its just because it was so extremely cluttered with stuff.
6. Also - the walk down from the third floor of Walters compared to the third floor of Main (or Rebekah) - surpised me every time that I arrived at the bottom floor. It should have been at least twice as long a walk!
7. I want my tall ceilings!!!
8. In short - I am v. v. v. glad that I live in Main and not in Walters. And that I have a single. (No offense [livejournal.com profile] gweniveeve.)

But I've had a great week working in Admission and Enrollment (crazy, but fun) and I'm ready to go back to school. No...that's a lie. I might be ready if I had done any of the work that was due for next week. Which reminds me...I need to figure out something to do for an independent study. Ah well...a procrastinating student's work is never done.
