So John Mark Karr has been arrested for the murder of JonBenet Ramsey (JBR). He has confessed, and has offered up information that the general public has not known about the murder. His ex-wife has said that he was in Alabama at the time of the murder. Right, everyone knows this.
What I found out last night is that HE WAS MY BROTHER'S FIFTH GRADE STUDENT INTERN!!! He was there for I don't know how long, a few weeks, before he was called up to the principal's office twice to be reprimanded for his behavior towards the girls. He was apparently getting too close to them, asking them too many personal questions, sitting on the floor with them during break time, and may or may not have been grooming one of them for a relationship with him. O.O
He left early after he skipped the third, and offical, disciplinary hearing with both the principal and his supervisors about his relationship with the girls.
My brother's fifth grade teacher hated my brother, and so would make him sit in the corner to do his work. Karr would have to supervise him! My brother apparently (and my mother remembers this) hated the guy. Said he was creepy. They interviewed some of the girls in the class for the local paper, and they all mentioned how creepy he was. Said that they had had many student teachers/interns in their lives, but they remembered him for how weird he was. He apparently did some weird thing with his hands while lining him up or something.
Now, my brother's seen some of the interviews, and said that at least one girl is exaggerating (saying that the guy was paying special attention to her, and was the main reason he left), but he's confirmed the rest of it. Spent too much time with the girls, and was creepy as hell. The teacher apparently had bad vibes from him right away as well, and documented anything weird he did while he was there. That has not been released.
But still. It scares me to death. And it would scare me more if my brother were a girl. (But then that would scare me anyway, as my parents would have some explaining to do.)
