So behind on BSG

Finally watched 4x13, The Oath, and I have only a few things to say. We're going so slow because we're watching them online, and husband was really depressed by the first couple of episodes of 4.5 and was wondering why we watched the show at all. I've had to bully him into watching with me, as I'm not allowed to watch them by myself. :(

Comments!
1. My absolute favorite moment of the episode was when Kara saved Lee's life. So badass. Shooting the mutineers like that - rivaling Mal in terms of badass and coldness. Wow. I adore Kara, and while maybe she's a little crazy, I think she's got the right attitude here.

2. My favorite character moment was when Lee bitched out Tigh for all of the Cylon's actions. I LOVE that the two sides in this conflict are not simply Cylon Love/Cylon hate. I'm so glad that they've got Lee, who doesn't likes the Cylons, is resentful and distrusting of the Cylons, is just a wee bit petty about it, and realizes that they need the alliance to survive. Most of the other people on that side are either in love with a Cylon or have been driven to the point of crazy by the plot. I'm including Kara, Adama, and Roslin in the second category.

3. I'm glad that the one TRUE LOVE story, the one that's the core of the show is Roslin/Adama. I love that they were the ones to make out for a minute while everyone else is around making plans. Mostly because I think it's awesome that they gave that storyline and those emotions to a couple of middle-aged people. Not only the yong should be crazy in love!

3a. Did you just make me love Baltar? Did he try to do something good? Is he now the comic relief and the conscience? Do I enjoy seeing him on screen now? Holy crap! (Seriously - he treats his followers like they were demented children. Because they are.

I've been trading text messages with my brother as I caught up on season 4 in about a week, and right around the point where you are I was texting my brother with messages like "Wow is Baltar the worst choice for religious leader ever" and "OMG Gaeta, gotta watch the quiet ones!!!"

Gaeta! I loved him up until now, and now I just kinda think he's an ass. I'm okay with Zarek still, but Gaeta? I can sorta see Gaeta's POV here, Adama and Roslin really aren't good with the democracy or sharing decisions, but something about the way he's been whining about his leg for the past however long is grating on me.

HEHEHE! Baltar is the worst choice for a religious leader ever. Which is why he's fantastic. Up until now, I would flinch whenever he comes on the screen. Now he and Kara are the highlight of the episode. Oh Baltar - you so crazy.

Justice League Unlimited #71, "Double Date," written by Gail Simone. In which the Question (whose comic incarnation inspired Rorschach) and the Huntress make with the oddcute.
