Piano Talk
Feb. 4th, 2010 08:53 amIt is embarrassing how much weaker my left hand is compared to my right hand. It makes sense. Much of the music I ever played for fun was heavy on octaves or chords or slow walks in the left hand, while the right hand went crazy. This will not do. After playing through 11 of Hanon's exercises, my left hand and wrist start begging for a reprieve, while my right calls them wusses. Fortunately, any weakness in my left hand goes away after thirty minutes or so. I've got a feeling that my left hand might rebel if I keep amping up the practice like I've been doing. Which will suck when I'm trying to do things on the internet. It's for your own good, left hand! Why can't you see that!
