Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth, pt 3
Or the one where Kay Faraday and Shi-Long Lang finally appear
Or the one where Officer Meekins is accused of murder
Or the one with Ema Skye!
I really don't have much to say about this particular case. I kinda guessed most of the elements at least a few minutes ahead of the twist. That's okay, because I think Edgeworth did too. So on to the characters!
Can we start every case with Edgeworth in restraints? Please?
Gumshoe is still adorable. I love how he tries to help but keeps failing or getting dragged off.
Kay Faraday is...cute. Disarmingly cute, but with her own personality. It seems that all girls under the age of twenty have to be sickeningly sweet or kinda evil in this universe. (Franziska is on the "kinda evil" side of course.)
I am relieved that there is absolutely no sexual tension between Kay and Edgeworth. I am also amused as hell that Gumshoe is hella jealous of her trying to steal his spot.
How many women have swooned over Edgeworth so far in this game? Oldbag, Lauren, the airline lady...and he's oblivious to all of them. It's adorable.
Yes. There is definitely way more sexual tension between Edgeworth and Lang than between Edgeworth and Kay. Also - Lang is hot.
I love how they have to keep topping each antagonist. Edgeworth to Von Karma to Franziska to Godot. And now Lang, who is more ruthless than Edgeworth even.
I can't take Lang entirely seriously though. He seriously accused Officer Meekins of murder. With a straight face. With a straight face, y'all.
On the topic of Lang, I'm conflicted about Shih-Na. I like her from an aesthetic sense. It makes a great gimmick. But I don't like relegated her to simply a sight gag. I hope we get more out of her (though I severely doubt it).
"This is a cravat, and it's a fashion statement not a gag!" That's what he said.
Ema Skye: for all your forensics needs.
Oldbag: for all your stalkery poor witness needs.
Edgeworth is such a Steel Samurai fanboy. It's too cute.
When Portsman and Jim showed up at the end, I was confused for a couple of minutes until I remembered that this had indeed happened before the first case. I'm glad we're going to catch up to the present. DAMMIT A FLASHBACK?
I'm looking forward to seeing exactly how all these cases tie together. I can see the outline, but I'm looking forward to more details.

I vote yea.

This is totally how I feel! Presumably she is an interesting person. But will we ever have actual proof of that?

I am still so sorry I missed this. Will have to go back to find.

I love that we finally get an extended look inside Edgeworth's mind, and it's a total geekstravaganza. It's like Capcom hit upon the formula for character popularity and decided to use it for

I need an Edgeworth icon.

I'ma make a bunch of Edgeworth icons once I finish the game and let myself look at all the sprites. You can take any of those, if you want. Specifically, I want one of Edgeworth sliding down a pole. It'll be awesome because in the icon, he's going to slide down, then slide back up. I can't wait to use it. For now, though, I will have to content myself with my Lang icon.
