Yeah, Yeah, I know, long time no see.

Babylon 5 is the show of PAIN! It breaks my heart into ittybitty pieces and then stomps on them and then burns them and spreads the ashes to the far reaches of the earth and then blows up the earth.

Yes, it is.

Yes, it does.

It also totally rips from Lord of the Rings. I'll explain further, but I'm not sure if you've seen that far yet.

I totally just saw this comment.

I've seen all but the last 3 movies and Crusade. So...rips from LotR, eh? What prompts you to say that?

::laugh:: Well, it was just one thing, really. That whole bit where Sheridan falls to his "death" on a planet whose name suspiciously rhymes with "Khazad-dûm". And miraculously turns up not dead a while later. I was watching those eps when they aired and I kept thinking, "Wait a minute, this is eerie and familiar."

For shits and giggles, I googled and found this and this for you.

To be fair, I don't think rips so much as pays homage. Well, Sheridan's fake death was an outright plot rip but everything else was just references. And as a fan of both, references and homages make me happy.
