I love my hometown

clodia_risaI come from a medium sized city/set of cities in Alabama, which span two counties. One of them is Colbert. (Not pronounced like Steven Colbert.) Its a nice area, with parks and good restaurants and nice people and stuff. a little more liberal than most of small town Alabama is supposed to be.
It's going to be featured on the Colbert Report. SQUEE!! The joke is that he thinks that Colbert County was named after him, and so they open a museum for him, but due to lack of interest it was closed down the next day. They got the mayor, and kids from one of the local high schools, and tons of people to play along. Steven himself didn't show. :(
Basically, the mayor of the specific town featured (Tuscumbia) talked the the Colbert people and said that as long as they don't make fun of us, we'll cooperate fully. :)
