HELP!

My brother's Eagle Ceremony is in half a month, and I have no clue what to get him.

I want to get him something nice, that costs less than $100, but something that he might like/be able to use/keep longterm. No figurines, no eagles, nothing like that.

If I had the money, I'd buy him some nice All-Clad, because we both love cooking, but it is out of my price range. I don't want to get him a game, or a cd, or a book, because that's what I always get him. It's typically a thoughtful game, cd, or book, but I want something nice.

Interests are PS2/some Computer games, Music, some Books, Cooking/Baking, Dragons (but I refuse to get him a dragon statue).

He likes dark colored things, black, gray, dark blue, dark green, red. (At this point you might notice that this is more for my benefit than yours, but keep reading if you like.)

He plays Magic? I think? But I don't want to get him anything fandomy. I want to get him something that...that says "I respect you as an adult. Here is something nice, as an adult. Expect an anime music book for Xmas."

If all else fails, I might call him and ask him for help. But I really don't want to.

I've asked my mother, and she doesn't know either. (She's already gotten him something.)

So, if anyone would like to help, help!

Also, I love my new icon. Kawaii Not is an adorable webcomic!

Oh I wish I could help you... I am TERRIBLE with figuring out what guys like. I tend to get Dan action figures and movies for Christmas and his birthday. The best I've managed in recent years has been a watch, and some boxer shorts... and that's my husband whom I know better than anyone. :P You might think about going to Crate and Barrel; they have some neat cooking-related stuff you could get him, potentially some kind of a set or something for under $100. I don't know what they'd have currently but you could find something, I'm sure. Sorry - that's my best effort!

Oh I'm horrid about stuff for Matt too, because he gets whatever he want, so that leaves me nothing to get him! Stupid boys...

Thanks for the suggestion!

what about buying him a cooking class.. you know how some restraunts have one day cooking classes sometimes or wine tasting type things... something like that...they tend to be pricy but under a hundred

Yeah, but he's crazy busy, and I want to give him something that he can keep. Also, I don't think they have stuff like that in my hometown. I think. Thanks though!

What about jewelry? Cufflinks, or a watch, or a really classy men's necklace, or something to that effect?

That's a good suggestion. But I don't think he wears any, and since I don't know his style I wouldn't want to just randomly pick something out, especially since he can be picky. Not picky - he just has a style and a taste and I've never tried to buy for it. But I'll consider that. Thanks!
