Wizard and Glass
Dec. 5th, 2006 03:16 pmI'm about 3/4 of the way through the fourth book of the Dark Tower series. It's the day of the Reaping, and Roland just witnessed/met the Thunderclap. I'm nervous as hell. I can see the shape of how things will go wrong, just like I could see it before the Reaping day, but I don't know what will happen exactly. And I don't know what'll happen after the bonfire.
I'm nervous as hell. Damn, this is a good series.

on 2006-12-06 06:41 am (UTC)Oh man, Wizard and Glass HURT. In a good way. I just wanted to cling to the four kids and hug them and protect them from all the pain of their inescapable futures.
Also? It's somewhat satisfying to know that even as a teen, Roland kicked ass. He never had to go through that awkward "sucks at everything including not-walking-into-walls" stage of adolescence like the rest of us human beings. And in exchange for being awesome, bad shit happens to him. It's a trade-off.
