What makes me into an asshole

A few days ago theferrett asked what made his readers assholes. What argument, what action, what line of thought pushed their buttons, and hard, every single time.

I've figured it out. Any statement, any argument with the phrase, or intonation of the phrase "those people" "you people" makes me into a raving bitch. "Those illegals" "those atheist" "those bigoted Christians" ... I HATE such sentiments.

I will admit that I am a little more violently angry towards people who dislike "my side", the liberal side and its causes, I'm not going into everything I support right now. But I get upset when people do that to conservatives, Christians, right-to-lifers, whatever.

I'm still upset from a conversation I had this morning, so I'm not entirely lucid. Lets just say that it involves a discussion of illegal immigrants, the implication of "those people", and me storming out and saying "Osio Dawado Meg".

I wish I hadn't lost my temper. But I was just so angry.

You know, that's a very dangerous question to ask on LJ (in that most LJers are very, very adept at telling us exactly what makes them assholes).
