Jun. 18th, 2007 04:11 pmSince work is less than busy right now, I'm bringing books to work again. I got halfway through Orson Scott Card's Enchantment before I decided I needed a break since I'm not sure if it is anti-feminist or not. I'm pretty certain I'm just reading too much into it. I think.
So I picked up Robin McKinley's Sunshine, which I still adore, and so am probably going to read all of her books that I own by her now. Once I finished Sunshine, I picked up Beauty (which of course, having read for an hour I'm halfway through already) which makes me want to read Rose Daughter, which will probably make me want to read Spindle's End and at that point I'll just have to read the rest of her books. Not that I mind - it's been a year or so since I've gone through them all.
Matt and I have a few more wedding expenses to pay for, including our Disney trip, so we're going to minimize spending as much as possible. I've got one or two manga volumes to buy over the next few months, and I'll need to get one or two essentials (like a bra that is actually comfortable), but we're going to restrict our money beyond that.
Oh yeah, and I'm buying Harry Potter. And he's buying B5: The Lost Tales. But those are necessary.
I'm also trying new recipes, especially healthy ones with fruits and veg. I got a hand blender so I can make smoothies again (sorry
gweniveeve, the blender you got me stopped working. I have no idea why.) I've been eyeing a hand blender for a while now, and I got a nice looking one for $20 at Target. Target - best store ever.
So tonight I'll go home, eat leftover (homemade) barbeque, go grocery shopping, come home and play DDR with Matt. Yay!
