As I'm writing this post, I'm enjoying a fried egg sandwich on whole wheat bread with tons of spinach and some balsamic vinaigrette to dip it in.

The goals for today are to clean out the fridge, get one magazine worth of recipes into the computer so I can throw the magazine out, and figure out some food to make this week.

Tonight, Myles of Style premieres on HGTV, and I'm pretty excited about that.

I'm getting BSG season 3 this week (EXCITEMENT! EXTREME EXCITEMENT!) And I'm looking forward to the 4th season, even though there is a fifty percent chance that I'm going to be missing the first episode. (The defense may or may not be on April 4th, so if it is we're having a very fun drunken party that night, and watching it later, and if not, I guess we'll watch BSG on time. Except I won't because I play in Star Wars on Fridays. Dammit. I guess we'll have to just watch it sometime over the weekend every weekend.)

I'm also on a bit of a fairy tale kick, thanks mostly to [livejournal.com profile] octopedingenue giving me Pamela Dean's Tam Lin. (Note to all that have read it - I am a classics major. I am not a fairy. I am definitely not a creepy creepy fairy.) Any recommendations on good modern fairy tales to read? As soon as I get done with Secret Wars I'm going to be scouring our fantasy section for more fun midday reads.

Yum, tasty sandwich.

ETA: Also, none of my person or my things suffered damage from storms, wind, or tornadoes.

My sister was at the Joe's in Beechwood yesterday and wound up hiding in the bathroom with a bunch of kids who were visiting Athens from Oxford University - she says everything was fine and dandy and then all of a sudden the outside furniture started skidding across the pavement by itself!

I went into Target right as the first warning hit, and the manager was very nice and asked everyone just to stay in the dressing room area. When that passed, I went home, and about an hour later there was another tornado warning, and I got a ton of pillows and blankets and just read inteh bathroom. Minus the VERY LOUD NOISES outside, it was quite comfy.
