Sick, but only a little

I have certain foods that I eat pretty exclusively when I'm sick. Chicken noodle soup, ginger ale, orange sherbert (I usually get rainbow when I'm well). This is because that's what my mom fed me as a kid, and so that's what I want when I'm sick.

However I also have food cravings when I'm sick. Water and juice, because I get super-dehydrated. But I also crave fruit (probably for the liquid again, and because fruit is delicious), and meat. Chicken, beef, pork, all of it. I don't want vegetables at all, nor things like potatoes either, just lots of meat. I think it's a little off - but I always feel better for about thirty minutes after I eat a leftover piece of fried chicken, more energy, less sniffles. I guess there's some sort of nutrient deficiency that's especially bad when I'm sick. *shrug*

What do you like to eat when you're sick, and what do you crave?

I like to drink beer, and then wonder what I was thinking afterwards.

See, I've done that thing. In Ireland I drank something alcoholic, I have no idea what, when I was a little bit sick, and consequently got a hell of a lot worse sick and it lasted even longer. Even if the alcohol had nothing to do with it, I am never ever touching it again when I even think I might be getting sick. Even if Jose Cuervo's ready made margarita stuff is surprisingly tasty.

Warm stuff that's easy to make... I think. Soup fits the bill for that, although when I was sick as a kid I had to have Coke and butterless noodles (to prevent upset stomach).
