If you're [a] Marvel reader and truly feel we're sexist, then why are you reading our books? Now, perhaps you're not a Marvel reader, then if that's the case, I'm not quite sure what you're criticizing if you don't read our books? - Joe Quesada

Now, I just heard of this Marvel Divas today, and I don't read overmany American comic books, but let me get this straight. If I dislike an aspect of something I should stop reading it, and if I don't read it, I can't criticize? I guess there's no logical reason or way for me to complain about something that I enjoy, eh?

Like I just posted in [livejournal.com profile] rashaka's journal, the logic is so perfectly circular you just can't dent it.

If you don't like something it's your own fault for reading it.
If you don't read it, you can't possibly know what's in it.

Either way: Marvel's not sexist, so they WIN!

I have never heard of Marvel Divas but Marvel's track record is not inviting a lot of benefit of the doubt.

No, either way, the point is: You have no valid way of saying that we're sexist, so it doesn't matter if we're sexist or not, you can't be right.
